Whether you are a first-time mom-to-be, or you've had children before, McGinnis Women's Medical Care PC is dedicated to you.
If you think you're in labor, you should monitor:
• The time and frequency of your contractions from the onset of one contraction to the
onset of the next
• The duration of a contraction refers to how long it lasts (they are usually last 25-60
seconds)
In "true labor", contractions will typically get progressively stronger, longer and closer together. In ''false-labor'' contractions typically subside with such things as lying down on your left side, taking a warm bath, walking around, or drinking water.
We are a source of information on all aspects of labor, delivery and postpartum care. We help you with any concerns from knowing when labor begins, recommending when labor should be induced, providing pain relief, deciding if a cesarean delivery is needed and postpartum concerns and care.
