Mary Joyce McGinnis M.D. is the owner and founder of McGinnis Women's Medical Care. She has dedicated more than 35 years to women’s health and is committed to empowering women.
Dr. McGinnis received her BS from Georgia State University in 1973. She graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1977, Cum Laude. She completed her internship in Columbus, GA from 1977 to 1978 and then her OB / GYN Residency at the Medical College of GA from 1978 to 1981. She was board certified in OB / GYN in 1985.
Dr. McGinnis has received the Physician Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and the Golden Stethoscope Award from the University of Alabama. She was a former president of the medical staff at Bellevue Women’s Hospital.
Her current professional organizations include American College OB / GYN, American Medical Association, Association for Reproductive Health Professionals, Physician Reproductive Choice & Health, Family Planning Advocates NYS, and NOW.
Dr. McGinnis’s community involvements include Planned Parenthood Association and the Coalition to Protect Reproductive Health in Schenectady County.
She was raised in Georgia and relocated to the Capital District in New York in the early 1980s. She currently resides in Niskayuna and is an avid dog lover.

Barbara J. Hill, FNP-C is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing for more than 20 years.
Barbara received her degree from Community General Hospital, Syracuse, NY in 1997 and became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1998. She is also licensed to practice as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Florida.
Her current professional organizations include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and The Nurse Practitioner Association of NYS.
Barbara was born in Utica NY and currently resides in Loudonville with her husband, Jeffrey. They have four children. Barbara is a member of Therapy Dogs International and has a therapy dog named Bailey.
